James Van Buren

James Van Buren (born March 19, 1935 in Arrow Rock , Missouri , † June 4, 2012 ) was an American blues and jazz singer .

Live and act

Van Buren founded the Blues Kings formation in Kansas City in 1956 . He's also released several albums throughout his career in the city's music scene, including We Will Be Together Again , It's All Over , which hit NPR's Top 20 list in 1985 , and I Ain't Doin 'Too Bad with the single in 1988 -Decoupling Three Handed Woman . In 1992 he was a guest at the Utrecht Jazz Festival . In 2004 Live at the Kasbah was created with saxophonist Richie Cole . Starting in 1996, the Colorado Rockies baseball team used Van Buren's James' baseball song as a theme song . The singer has also performed with T-Bone Walker , Big Joe Turner and Lou Rawls . Van Buren died of cancer at the age of 77.
