James Yates

James Yates (born April 30, 1789 in Toxteth Park near Liverpool , † May 7, 1871 in Highgate ) was an English pastor , archaeologist and amateur botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " J.Yates ".

Yates put on a plant collection for the Cycadaceae family , which later came to the British Museum in London.
