Jan-Moritz Lichte (born January 12, 1980 in Kassel ) is a former German football player and today's coach and functionary. Since 2017 he has been employed in the coaching team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 .
Career
As a player
Lichte began his active career in the youth of KSV Baunatal . In 1998 he made the leap into the first team. In nine seasons, Jan-Moritz Lichte played 207 times in the fourth-class Oberliga Hessen . For the 2007/08 season, Lichte moved to the second team of SC Paderborn 07 . In April 2009 Jan-Moritz Lichte ended his active career at the age of 29.
As a trainer and functionary
In 2011 he passed his exam as a soccer teacher as the best in the course. He took part in the course at the Hennes-Weisweiler-Akademie together with Sascha Lewandowski , among others .
From the 2012/13 season he was assistant coach of the Bundesliga soccer club Bayer 04 Leverkusen . He stayed there until the summer of 2014. He switched to Hannover 96 as assistant coach for the 2014/15 season and was responsible for the youth department at this club the following season.
He has been assistant coach at 1. FSV Mainz 05 since the 2017/18 season . On the seventh matchday of the Bundesliga of the 2019/20 season , he was the responsible coach of his team in the game against SC Paderborn because of a red card against head coach Sandro Schwarz on the previous matchday.
Private
In 2008, Lichte graduated from the University of Paderborn with a 1.0 degree in sports science .
