Jan Kidawa-Błoński (born February 12, 1953 in Chorzów ) is a Polish film director and film producer.

Jan Kidawa-Błoński studied architecture at the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice and then began studying film at the Łódź Film School , which he graduated in 1980. His feature film debut Trzy stopy nad ziemią was made in 1984 and has won several awards at regional Polish festivals.

From 1982 until its dissolution in 1991, Kidawa-Błoński belonged to the Silesia film production company . Since 1991 he has been the managing director of the production company Gambit, which produces feature films, documentaries, commercials and television programs. His greatest success since then has been the film Skazany na bluesa about the Polish rock band Dżem . The film won the audience award at the Polish Film Festival Gdynia in 2005 . Kidawa-Błoński is married to Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska , a member of the Sejm from the Civic Platform and President of Parliament . In 2010 he won the main prize at the Polish Film Festival Gdynia for his film Różyczka .
