Jan Löffler (born June 3, 1981 in Werdau ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Saxon State Parliament since 2009, where he is deputy parliamentary group chairman and treasurer of the CDU parliamentary group.

Life

Jan Löffler grew up in Neukirchen . After completing secondary school in 1998, he attended the technical college for economics and social affairs and in 2000 received the technical college entrance qualification. He then completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Sparkasse Zwickau , where he has since worked as a private customer advisor. While working, he completed further training as a savings bank specialist from 2004 to 2006 and, at the same time, from 2004 to 2007 further training in business administration at the Saxon Administration and Business Academy in Dresden. In 2007 he graduated there as a business economist (VWA) . In 2017 he completed a part-time course in management at the TU Chemnitz with the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.).

politics

Jan Löffler was a member of the Junge Union from 2005 to 2016 and has been an active member of the CDU since 2005. Since 2006 he has been chairman of the Neukirchen local association. In 2006 he was a member of the district board of the CDU Zwickau and has been the district treasurer since 2008.

Since the local elections in June 2009 he has been a member of the Neukirchen / Pleiße municipal council. In the state elections in 2009 he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Zwickauer Land 2 (constituency 8). In April 2010, Jan Löffler was elected by the Saxon state parliament as a representative in the state advisory board for fire protection, rescue services and disaster control.

In 2012, Jan Löffler was elected as a member of the CDU parliamentary committee of the Saxon state parliament.

In the 2014 state election he defended the direct mandate in the constituency of Zwickau 2 (constituency 6) with 44.6% of the first votes. During this legislative period he was a member of the Interior Committee, the Budget & Finance Committee and the 1st Investigation Committee "Neo-Nazi Terror Networks in Saxony".

In 2017 he was a member of the 16th Federal Assembly.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he again defended his direct mandate in the constituency of Zwickau 2 with 39.1 percent.

Jan Löffler is currently a full member of the Committee for Regional Development and the Committee for Budget and Finance.
