Jan Lenzke

Jan Lenzke (born July 7, 1970 in East Berlin ) is a former German athlete who was a successful 400-meter runner in the 1990s . Until 1990 he started for the GDR .

At the European Championships in 1990 he started the 4-by-400-meter relay , which took third place in the final (preliminary: Jan Lenzke, Rico Lieder , Thomas Schönlebe , Jens Carlowitz ).

At the European Junior Championships in 1989, he won two silver medals: in the 400-meter run (47.30 s) and as the final runner in the 4-by-400-meter relay.

In the 4 x 400 meter relay race, he was East German champion in 1989 with SC Dynamo Berlin and German indoor champion in 1996 with LAC Halensee .

His mother Karin Lenzke (born July 27, 1936) took part in the 1960 Olympic Games in the high jump .

Jan Lenzke belonged to SC Dynamo Berlin during the GDR era, later to OSC Berlin and LAC Halensee. At a height of 1.90 m, he had a competition weight of 75 kg.
