Jan Petter Lindvall (born March 18, 1950 in Kåfjord ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier .
Career
Lindvall ran his first World Cup race in January 1982 in Reit im Winkl and finished 17th over 15 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 he was eleventh over 50 km. In March 1982 he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with second place over 50 km in Lahti . In the 1982/83 season he won his only World Cup victory in Kawgolowo over 50 km. At the World Cup in Falun he came third over 30 km and at the end of the season he reached third place in the overall World Cup. In his last season 1983/84 he reached his last World Cup podiums with third place at the World Cup in Falun over 30 km. At the Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo he finished 13th over 30 km, fifth over 50 km and fourth place with the relay.
Lindvall won nine medals at Norwegian championships. In 1982 he became champion over 15 km and in 1982 and 1984 over 30 km.
