Jan Men (born August 27, 1982 in Emmendingen ) is a former German soccer player . The midfielder played eight Bundesliga games (one goal) and 132 second division games (six goals) by December 2007.

career

Men played in their youth at Bahlinger SC and then until 1996 at FC Emmendingen . From there he moved to SC Freiburg . The offensive midfielder has played around 35 international junior matches and two U21 internationals for the DFB. In the 2001/2002 season , men made eight first division appearances and his first Bundesliga goal for the first time. After the relegation of the Breisgauer from the first division, he played another season for the club in the 2nd Bundesliga .

In the summer of 2003, men moved within Baden to league rivals Karlsruher SC , where he was able to establish himself as a regular player straight away. Men completed a total of 108 second division games for the Karlsruhe Sport Club there in four years.

For the 2007/08 season, men switched to the second division club SC Paderborn , but in addition to the contracts of Daniel Brinkmann , Dennis Schulp and David Siradse , his contract was also terminated by mutual agreement during the winter break. He then ended his career after six years as a professional at the age of 25.
