Daniel Brinkmann (born January 29, 1986 in Horn-Bad Meinberg ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Brinkmann was under contract at SC Paderborn 07 as a professional player in the second Bundesliga. He made his debut as a professional player in the 2005/06 season at the away game at FC Hansa Rostock , when he was substituted on for Hüzeyfe Doğan in the second half . In his third appearance, a 2-0 away win at Dynamo Dresden , he scored his first goal with the opening goal. He was suspended in 2005 by the then coach of SC Paderborn, Pawel Dotschew , which his successor Jos Luhukay revised. In October 2007 he was again released from the management of SC Paderborn and his contract was terminated at the end of the month.

On November 13, 2007, Alemannia Aachen engaged the midfielder until the summer of 2010. He was eligible to play for the second division on January 1, 2008, but was then used frequently. On March 22nd, 2009 he scored two goals in a second division game for the first time at 1. FSV Mainz 05 and he was elected player of the 25th matchday of the 2. Bundesliga .

For the 2009/10 season Brinkmann moved to league rivals FC Augsburg , for whom he made his debut on August 9, 2009 in the game against Energie Cottbus , when he was substituted on for Axel Bellinghausen in the 46th minute of play . At the end of this season he missed promotion to the 1st Bundesliga with FC Augsburg when they lost to 1. FC Nürnberg in the relegation . In the 2010/11 season he rose with FC Augsburg by taking second place directly in the 1st Bundesliga , in which he made his debut for FCA on matchday 6 of the Bundesliga season in the game against Hertha BSC .

Energie Cottbus signed Brinkmann during the summer break of 2012 . He signed a contract valid until June 30, 2015. On May 30, 2014, Arminia Bielefeld presented Brinkmann as a new addition. With the Bielefeld team, Brinkmann was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season. After Brinkmann remained without a professional appearance in the 2016/17 season, he moved to the regional division SC Wiedenbrück in January 2017 .

Brinkmann completed an international match for the German U-21 national team against Italy .
