Hüzeyfe Doğan (born January 1, 1981 in Karakoçan , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish soccer coach and former player .
Career as a player
In the club
The Turkish-born Doğan began playing football at 1. FC Ringsdorff-Godesberg in Bonn . From there he joined the youth team at Bonner SC in 1991 and moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 1997 . At Bayer, he made the leap into the men's team, but was mainly used in the reserve team and played 59 games in the Regionalliga Nord (in which he scored six goals) and 33 league games (nine goals). In 2001 he participated in the 2001 World Junior Championship for Germany . As the first team of Bayer 04 in the Bundesliga - 2002/03 season but increased got into relegation danger and players should be spared for the Bundesliga matches, Doğan came in the Champions League against Manchester United and FC Barcelona on his competitive debut for the senior team .
Then Doğan moved back to his home country to the Turkish first division club MKE Ankaragücü , where he also got only a little working time. In addition, his salary was irregular and he had six different coaches in just two years. He then left the club and joined SC Paderborn 07 . For the 2007/08 season he moved to Wuppertal SV Borussia , a year later the midfielder signed a contract with 1. FC Union Berlin , with whom he was promoted to the second Bundesliga in 2009 . His contract with the Berliners was not extended after the 2009/10 season. In September 2010 he joined the regional league team Preußen Münster . For Preußen Münster he played 18 regional league games and scored two goals.
In the 2011/12 season he played for the Turkish second division club Denizlispor . After just one season Doğan left Denizlispor and moved to the Turkish third division club Yeni Malatyaspor . In 2013 he returned to Germany and joined SSVg Velbert , with whom he however clearly missed relegation in the Regionalliga 2013/14 as bottom of the table. A year later he returned with Velbert in the regional league, Doğan had scored 19 league goals. In the regional league season 2015/16 , the relegation followed and he left the club.
National team
Doğan played a U-19 game for Turkey in 2000. With the U-20 national team of Germany he took part in the 2001 World Junior Championship . He was substituted on in Germany's first round match against Brazil and was in the starting line-up in the second round match against Canada.
Career as a coach
Doğan returned to Velbert in June 2016 and took over the position of player-coach in the second team of SSVg Velbert. In April 2018 he moved to the newly promoted state league TVD Velbert . With the Dalbecksbäumer he could celebrate 2 climbs. His engagement ended in summer 2020.
Private
Doğan is married and has two children. Due to his first name, which is relatively difficult for German usage, he has also been called "Yussuf" since his time at Bonner SC.
