Jan Dupont Mathiasen (born May 9, 1957 in Fredericia ) is a former Danish sailor .
successes
Jan Mathiasen, who sailed in the Fredericia Sejlklub , took part in two Olympic Games in the Soling boat class . In his Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 1984 , he finished twelfth as a crew member of Jesper Bank , whose crew was completed by Thomas Andersen . Four years later he was again a crew member of Skipper Jesper Bank in Seoul , this time alongside Steen Secher . With 52.7 points they remained far behind the GDR boat led by Jochen Schümann with 11.7 points and the Americans led by John Kostecki with 14 points, but secured themselves ahead of the British boat with 67.1 points Third the bronze medal.
