Jan Mehlum

Jan Mehlum (born January 1, 1945 in Tønsberg , Vestfold Province ) is a Norwegian writer , trained economist and professor of sociology at the State University of Southeast Norway (Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge) (USN). He became famous for his crime novels with the protagonist lawyer Svend Foyn , which appeared in various languages.

Mehlum lived and worked so far a. a. in Hamburg , Tanzania / East Africa , Bergen and Oslo ; currently (2020) he lives in his hometown Tønsberg.
