Jan Pechoušek (born April 4, 1997 ) is a Czech cross-country skier .

Career

Pechoušek, who competes for the Fenix ​​Ski Team Jesenik, appeared for the first time internationally in February 2015 at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Steg . There he finished 45th place over 7.5 km freestyle, 39th place in sprint and 36th place over 10 km classic. In the same month he ran in Nové Město for the first time in the Slavic Cup and achieved 20th place in the sprint. His best placings at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow were 28th place in the sprint and sixth place with the relay. The following year he finished 54th in the sprint and 46th place over 15 km classic at the U23 World Championships in Goms . He made his debut in the Cross-Country World Cup in December 2018 in Davos , which he finished in 59th place in the sprint. At the Tour de Ski 2018/19 , which he ended prematurely, he scored his first World Cup points in the sprint stage in Dobbiaco with 25th place.
