Jan Peter Riecken

Jan Peter Riecken (born October 4, 1966 in Hamburg ) is a German SPD politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Riecken did his Abitur in Hamburg Bramfeld at the Osterbek high school. Then he does his military service with the telecommunications / ELOKA troops in Rothenburg / Wümme and Neumünster. This was followed by a degree in political science in Bremen and Hamburg . He completed his studies with a degree in political science . He began his professional career as sales and marketing manager at Future Invent Informationsmanagement GmbH from April 2000 to May 2002. Today he is managing director and co-owner of VIG Druck & Media GmbH.

In addition to the parliamentary mandate in the citizenry, he is involved in an honorary capacity as 1st chairman of the Volkshochschulverein Hamburg-Ost eV and 2nd chairman of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) Bramfeld-Sasel-Wellingsbüttel.

Riecken has been a member of the SPD since 1983. From October 2001 to February 2004 he was a member of the Debt Committee and the Wandsbek Youth Welfare Committee.

He was already once in the 16th electoral term (1997 to 2001) a member of the Hamburg Parliament. From March 2004 to February 2008 he sat again in parliament and was for the SPD parliamentary group in the budget and science committee. He was also a specialist spokesman for information and communication technology .
