Jan Vukovič (born June 14, 2000 ) is a Slovenian middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Jan Vukovič gained his first international experience in 2016 when he retired from the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi with 1: 58.74 min in the first round and was unable to finish the prelim with the Slovenian 4 x 100 meter relay. Also at the European Youth Championships , which were held in Tbilisi the following year , he was eliminated in the first round over 800 meters with 1: 57.54 minutes. In 2017 he reached the semi-finals at the U18 World Championships in Nairobi , where he was eliminated with 1: 52.89 min and in 2019 he was fifth at the U20 European Championships in Borås with 1: 52.36 min.

In 2020 Vukovič became Slovenian champion in the 800-meter run and in the 4 x 400-meter relay outdoors and over 800 meters indoors.
