Jan van Glabbeeck
Jan van Glabbeeck (* around 1635 ; † 1686 in Puerto de Santa María , Bay of Cádiz ) was a Dutch apprentice painter and businessman.
In 1653 he was attested as an apprentice to Rembrandt in Amsterdam , otherwise nothing is known about him as a painter. After that he is attested as a merchant in Rome (1667) and Spain. According to a file relating to the estate drawn up in Amsterdam on January 11, 1687, he died in Puerto de Santa Maria, presumably the previous year.
He is not to be confused with the still life painter Gijsbert van Glabbeeck .
