Jan von Frenckell

Jan von Frenckell (born October 19, 1965 in Munich ) is a German journalist and editor-in-chief .

Life

After school and community service with the rescue service of the German Red Cross , von Frenckell completed a traineeship at Münchner Merkur . There he worked as an editor until 1989. In 1989 he moved to Bunte and became head of the journals department. After a period of freelance work (including working on program projects at the pay-TV broadcaster Premiere ), von Frenckell returned to Bunte as an editor for special tasks. In 1996 he moved to Axel Springer in Hamburg, where he was deputy editor-in-chief of the TVneu program guide . On July 1, 2003, he became editor-in-chief of TVneu, Funk Uhr and Bildwoche .

On February 1, 2012, he moved to the Bauer Media Group as editor-in-chief of At a Glance , Fernsehwoche and TVklar . On April 1, 2016, he also took over as editor-in-chief for the Travel & Service Experts competence team at Bauer Living Programm KG. He is also editor-in-chief of tv pur , mein tv & ich and TV! Top .
