Jane Gerisch , married. Drage , (born March 5, 1986 in Rüdersdorf ) is a former German track cyclist and two-time European champion.
Athletic career
Jane Gerisch started cycling at the age of six, and her two older siblings were also active in the Erkneraner Radsportclub 1996 eV. At the age of eleven she competed in her first railroad competition. From 1998 she attended the sports school in Frankfurt (Oder) and increasingly specialized in the short-term disciplines on the track.
In 2003 Jane Gerisch became vice world champion in the junior keirin ; the following year she finished third in the 500 m time trial at the Junior World Championships. In 2006, at the European Championships in Athens , she won two titles, in the sprint and in the keirin; 2007 the European Vice-Champion title in Keirin. At the Track World Cup in Sydney she was second in the team sprint together with Dana Glöß , and third in the sprint at the run in Los Angeles . At the UCI Track World Championships in 2007 she finished fifth in the team sprint together with Christin Muche .
In 2007 Jane Gerisch fell in a keirin competition in Verona , broke her collarbone and then recovered only slowly. After the German championships in Büttgen in 2008 , where she was second in the Keirin and third in the time trial and sprint, Jane Gerisch resigned from active cycling.
