Katja-Christin Muche (born October 19, 1983 in Forst ) is a former German track cyclist . In 2006 she became world champion in keirin.
Athletic career
In 2000 Christin Muche became world champion in the junior sprint . This first great success was followed by numerous others, such as European championship titles, victories at World Cups and national titles. The highlight of her sporting career was winning the World Cup in Keirin at the 2006 UCI Track World Championships in Bordeaux . In the title fights in Manchester in 2008 , she won a bronze medal in the Keirin.
From 2009 Christin Muche drove for the natural gas team . 2012 . After a herniated disc, Christin Muche was unable to compete in races in 2009 and was removed from the squad by the BDR in 2010 . At the 2010 German track championships in Cottbus , she was three-time runner-up in the 500 m time trial , in the sprint and in the keirin. She then resigned from active cycling.
