Gabriele "Gabi" Altweck , married. Prieler-Altweck , (born January 11, 1963 in Munich ) is a former German cyclist .

Gabi Altweck competed in the German championships as a teenager . She became a Master of the Railways and Roads in 1980, followed by the Pursuit of Girls in 1981. After switching to the adult class, Gabi Altweck became German champion in the single pursuit in 1983 , and in the sprint she took third place. In 1984 she started the road race at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and finished 33rd. In the same year she was third at national championships in the pursuit on the track and in road racing. From 1985 to 1987 Altweck was three times German champion, twice in the sprint and once in the pursuit. In 1991 she was second in the national championship in pursuit and third in the points race .

Gabi Altweck is the daughter of the former racing cyclist Otto Altweck .

Professional

Altweck completed an apprenticeship as an accountant.
