Otto Altweck (born March 28, 1937 in Munich ) is a former German racing cyclist and cycling trainer .

In 1957 Altweck won, still as an amateur , Around Sebnitz , at the UCI Road World Championships in 1958 , he finished 13th. Then he became a professional . In his first year as a professional he was, still as an amateur, third in the Berlin stage race , and the following year he was German champion in the single pursuit . He also won stages in the Critérium du Dauphiné , the Tour de Picardie and the Tour of Luxembourg . Also in 1958 he finished third in the Frankfurt six-day race , together with Hans Jaroszewicz .

In 1960 Altweck was third at the European Standing Championship and was tenth overall at the International Afri-Cola Tour of Germany . In the same year he was German vice-champion in two-man team driving , together with Sigi Renz .

Since 2009 Altweck has been on podium several times at Masters cycling events for racing drivers over 70 years of age. In 2010, in Anadia, Portugal , he won two gold medals at the Masters World Championships, in scratch and points .

From 1986 to 1989 Altweck was national track cycling trainer in Indonesia and from 2000 to 2004 he worked as national trainer in Iran . In 2010 he worked again in Iran. His daughter is the former racing cyclist Gabi Altweck .
