Edi Gieseler

Edi Gieseler (born January 10, 1936 in Münster ; † May 1, 2003 ibid) was a German track cyclist .

Edi Gieseler was a professional cyclist from 1954 to 1965. His specialty disciplines were single pursuit and two-man team driving . He won three national championship titles, 1955 and 1956 in the pursuit, in 1957 in a two-man team driving together with Manfred Donike . He also started in 41 six-day races, one of which he won in 1956 in Münster with his stand partner Donike.

His brother Dieter Gieseler was also a cyclist.

Professional

While still active, he and his brother had built up a professional future in fruit growing.
