Nicky Degrendele (born October 11, 1996 in Knokke-Heist ) is a Belgian track cyclist who specializes in short-term disciplines.

Athletic career

Even as a junior, Nicky Degrendele made people sit up and take notice: after taking podium places at junior world championships and European championships in 2013 and becoming six-time Belgian junior champion, in 2014 she won the title of junior world champion and European champion in Keirin . In the same discipline, she also became Belgian elite champion at the age of 18, in 2015 in the keirin and sprint .

In 2016 Nicky Degrendele won the silver medal in the Keirin at the European Championships despite severe back problems, in the sprint she finished fourth. At the UCI Track World Championships in 2017 , she was third in the Keirin. The following year she became world champion in this discipline in Apeldoorn .
