Jangkok ( Indonesian sungai Jangkok or kali Jangkok ) is a 47 km long river on the Indonesian island of Lombok .
The Jangkok rises on the south side of the 3726 m high Rinjani volcano at about 1600 m above sea level. d. M. and has a catchment area of 170 km². Dense jungle stretches out on the upper reaches of the Jangkok. From here the Jangkok flows to the southwest, past the Pura Lingsar, one of the most important Hindu temples on the island. This means that a densely populated area in the middle of the island is reached, where the water of the Jangkok is used to irrigate numerous rice fields. Then the river turns west, flows through the urban area of Mataram , the capital of Lombok, and flows into the Lombok Strait in the area of Ampenan, the outer port of Mataram .
