Janina Vilsmaier

Janina Vilsmaier (born September 18, 1986 ) is a German film actress and director .

Life

She is the daughter of the Czech actress Dana Vávrová and the German director Joseph Vilsmaier . Her sisters Theresa Vilsmaier and Josefina Vilsmaier also work as actresses.

At first she went to the Bavaria International School in Haimhausen . She then studied media and communication and Spanish in Bristol . She attended the London Film School from 2011 and graduated in 2014.

Together with her younger sister Theresa, she is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dana Vávrová Foundation, which was founded in 2010 to fight cancer.

Career

She had her first role in Herbstmilch . She appeared in other films by her parents, for example in Marlene as Marlene Dietrich's daughter Maria and in the children's film The Bear is Going .
