Career

The 1.80 meter tall defensive all-rounder, who can act both in the full-back position and in the defensive and central midfield, began his football career in the youth of the SG Sendenhorst. He has played for Rot Weiss Ahlen since the C-youth and received a licensed player contract on June 5, 2009. Kraus made his first game for Ahlen in the 2nd Bundesliga on May 9, 2010 (34th matchday) when he came on as a substitute for Sebastian Pelzer in the 46th minute in the 4-1 away defeat against Energie Cottbus . In the 2010/11 season he was initially a regular at Ahlen in the 3rd division , but he injured his leg so badly in a duel with Per Mertesacker during the cup match against Werder Bremen that there was no further use in the season. Due to a degree in Bielefeld , Kraus switched to Delbrücker SC in June 2011 . From the 2012/13 to 2015/16 season he played with his older brother Florian Kraus at FC Gütersloh 2000 before they both left the club. After a short interlude at SV Lippstadt 08 , he joined the upper division TuRU Düsseldorf during the winter break of 2016/17 .
