Janka Molnár (born January 5, 2001 ) is a Hungarian sprinter and hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance.

Athletic career

Janka Molnár achieved her first international success in 2017 when she won the bronze medal in the 400-meter run at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Győr in 55.00 s . With the Hungarian 4 x 100 meter relay to the finals, but could not finish the race there. The following year, she finished sixth over 400 meters at the U18 European Championships there in 53.99 seconds. Shortly thereafter, she was eliminated from the U20 world championships in Tampere in the 400-meter hurdles with 60.13 s in the first round and also did not achieve that with the 4-by-400-meter relay with 3: 38.49 minutes Final. In autumn she also took part in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires , where she reached seventh place. In 2019, she finished fifth in the hurdles sprint at the U20 European Championships in Borås, Sweden in 57.64 s and finished fourth in the relay in 3: 37.31 min.

In 2018 and 2020 Molnár became the Hungarian champion in the 400-meter run as well as in the 400 m hurdles in 2020 and in 2020 she became the indoor champion over 400 meters.
