Janni Hönscheid

Janna "Janni" Hönscheid (born August 24, 1990 on Sylt ) is a German surfer . In 2013 she became German champion in surfing both on the short and longboard .

Career

Hönscheid grew up with two older sisters, also surfers, on Fuerteventura . Motivated by her father, the windsurfer Jürgen Hönscheid , she has been surfing since she was ten. She didn’t take up studies despite having finished high school in order to devote herself to her surfing career. She has been taking part in professional competitions since 2008. Her greatest sporting success so far was winning the German championship on both short and longboard in 2013. She is considered the best German surfer of her generation. In addition to surfing, she does windsurfing and stand up paddling .

In order to finance her surfing sport, Hönscheid also works as a motivational speaker and model . In 2014 she was on the front page of German Playboy .

In November 2016 she took part in the dance show Deutschland tanzt ( ProSieben ).

Private life

Since June 2016 Hönscheid is with the German television presenter Peer Kusmagk romantically involved, they at the shooting of the RTL - reality show looking for Adam Eve - Celebrities in Paradise met. At the beginning of August 2017, the couple had a son. Previously, the pregnancy was shown in the four-part reality format Janni & Peer, broadcast on RTL II ... and a baby! documented. In July 2019 their second child was born, a daughter.
