Peer Kusmagk (born June 14, 1975 in Berlin ) is a German actor and television presenter .

Life

After his high school Kusmagk lived for three years in various southern European and African countries of odd jobs . He completed his acting training at the Etage in Berlin and at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in Los Angeles . From 1999 he also took private acting lessons at Herbert Fischer 's Summer Theater Academy . In the same year won Kusmagk as talc Type '99 one of C & A organized regularly hosts - Casting and took over after moderation activities at various radio stations , on galas, fairs and events .

Kusmagk started his television career with German sports television (DSF), today Sport1 . He later played in RTL - soap opera Gute Zeiten from 2001 to 2003 as Ben Bachmann a major role. He also worked at VOX and ProSieben .

On May 23, 2003 he married Charlotte Karlinder , with whom he moderated breakfast television on Sat.1 . They lived separately since mid-2005 and are now divorced.

After a year and a half in a partnership with Isabella "Bella" Recke, the daughter of Helmut von Finck , Recke separated from Kusmagk at the end of March 2012.

Together with the actor Rhon Diels he opened the French bar - restaurant La Raclette in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg 36 in 2006, which was destroyed by a fire caused by a cable fire in October 2010 and reopened at the end of November 2010.

In January 2011, Kusmagk took part in the fifth season of the reality show I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! of the broadcaster RTL and was elected the king of the jungle by the viewers via televoting .

In March 2011, Kusmagk hosted the 57th edition of the RTL II music show The Dome .

On December 8, 2013, he was a candidate for Celebrity Shopping Queen . In 2016 he took part in the dating show Adam sucht Eva - Celebrities in Paradise . During this TV show, he met the surfer Janni Hönscheid . The two have officially been a couple since June 2016. In November 2016, he took part in the dance show Deutschland tanzt on ProSieben with Janni Hönscheid . The couple had a son in August 2017. Before that, the pregnancy was shown in the four-part reality format Janni & Peer, broadcast on RTL II ... and a baby! documented. In July 2019 their second child was born, a daughter.

Others

Kusmagk and his then wife Charlotte Karlinder protested against the fur industry in September 2004 at a press conference at the start of a fashion fair in the Hotel Künstlerheim Luise in Berlin by throwing bags of red paint. They were sentenced to 10,000 euros in damages. In the episode of the program Promi Shopping Queen broadcast on December 8, 2013 , Kusmagk presented a fur-lined coat that he owned. In the off-text the obvious contradiction to the alleged anti-fur attitude was pointed out, without this being resolved.
