Joel "Joey" Heindle (born May 14, 1993 in Munich ) is a German pop singer who took 5th place in the 2012 singing casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar . In January 2013, he won the seventh season of the television show I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! .

Life

Heindle grew up in Hallbergmoos , a community near Freising . He taught himself to play the guitar. In addition to his training as a kitchen helper, he wrote his own songs.

In February 2013 it was announced that Heindle was insolvent due to toggle contracts with several managers , as they were demanding their shares. In January 2013, a manager demanded 200,000 euros from him. From RTL a lawyer, he was asked.

Heindle has had a new management team since October 2013 and has been able to conclude advertising contracts. In May 2017 Heindle married Justine Dippl, whom he met in 2014. At the beginning of August 2018, he announced the separation. Heindle has been in a relationship with Ramona Elsener , whom he met at Dancing on Ice, since spring 2019 . Heindle lives with Elsener in Switzerland .

Career

2011-2013

In late summer 2011 he took part in the casting for the ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar , where he made it into the top 10 and finally reached fifth place in spring 2012. His first single The whole world revolves around you reached number 94 in the German single charts in October 2012.

In January 2013 he was a contestant in the seventh season of I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! which he left as the "king of the jungle". At the age of 19 he is the youngest “jungle king” to date. In January 2013 his second single Hol 'mich raus! . In RTL magazine Punkt 12 , from May 2013, he answered everyday questions in his weekly column Joeys Welt with expert help.

2014-2016

In January 2014 he was on RTL as a “jungle expert” in the eighth season of Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! to see. In January 2015 he was in Sofa Stars: In Jungle Fever on RTL. The show ran after the semifinals of the ninth season I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! In the summer he took part in the show I'm a Star - Let me back in! part.

In April 2016 he took part in the ProSieben Völkerball Championship . In May 2016 he was seen in four episodes of Germany, your celebrities on RTL 2. On November 9, 2016, he took part as one of four candidates in the RTL game show Crash Test Promis .

Since 2017

In 2017, the single Irgendwo appeared from his album Every Day Counts . In the second season of Global Gladiators Joey fought with 7 other candidates for the title "Global Gladiator" 2018. He won 3rd place in various challenges. In 2018 he participated in the RTL Ninja Warrior Germany celebrity special for the RTL donation marathon and made it into the second round there.

In addition to his television appearances, Heindle continues to publish music. His song Courage was released to match his participation in Global Gladiators . In August 2019, he was a candidate in the seventh season of Celebrity Big Brother , which he finished second. At the same time he was on an episode of Konny Goes Wild! to be seen as a survival candidate. After he was unable to participate as a candidate in the 1st season of Dancing on Ice due to injury , he was seen in the 2nd season in November and December 2019 and danced there with his girlfriend and professional figure skater Ramona Elsener. He was also a participant in the program Die! Heart! Blow! Show! .
