Set of rules
In this variant of the dodgeball , two teams of six players each played with one ball against each other. By throwing off the opposing players, you eliminated them. The team that has no more players or has fewer players after the end of the game, which was 2:30 minutes, had lost. A team consisted of five field players and a team captain . If a field player crossed a boundary line, he is immediately eliminated. If a captain crossed a boundary line, his team lost possession. Rules and procedure

From the knockout phase, there was no more playing time. A set went on until the last player on a team was eliminated. The team that won the last round of the knockout phase had won the tournament.

Reviews
The big ProSieben Völkerball Championship 2016 received mostly negative reviews. In the run-up to the broadcast, the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung criticized the distribution of celebrities among the respective teams. According to the newspaper, all participants should "play with the same rights in at least one other team".
