Paul Janke (born September 16, 1981 in Hamburg ) is a German television actor . He was the protagonist of the second season of the RTL television show Der Bachelor, broadcast in 2012 .

Since then, Janke has appeared regularly in various television programs and has released several singles as a singer and producer; a collaboration with the dance project Master Blaster led to a chart placement in Germany.

Janke took part in various beauty pageants for men and came fourth in 2009 as the incumbent Mister Hamburg in the election for Mister Germany . Janke plays football in the Oberliga Nord .

Life

Paul Janke grew up with parents and his older sister in Hamburg-Winterhude . After graduating from high school, he did community service and then began studying business administration with a focus on marketing at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg , which he completed with a degree in business administration.

Janke participated in various male beauty contests. On November 22nd, 2008 Janke was elected "Mister Hamburg 2009". In the subsequent election to Mister Germany 2009 on December 13, 2008 in Linstow , Janke came fourth.

In April 2009 Janke moved to Hanover , where he worked in sales for Bacardi GmbH . At the beginning of 2011 he moved back to Hamburg, where his employer had offered him a job; here he looked after the upscale gastronomy and hotel industry.

From January 4, 2012 to February 22, 2012 he was the protagonist of the RTL program Der Bachelor . Janke was still employed until he began participating in the television program, but was released from work until March 2012.

Since then, Janke has appeared regularly in various television programs. In April 2012, Janke was a candidate and host in an episode of the VOX television show The Perfect Celebrity Dinner .

In September 2012, Janke released a new recording of the title Hypnotic Tango together with the dance project Master Blaster . He released several singles as a singer, the collaboration with the dance project Master Blaster led to a chart placement in Germany.

At the end of 2012 he was seen in a guest role in the ARD early evening series Verbotene Liebe .

From April to May 2013 he took part as a candidate in the sixth season of the dance show Let's Dance . With his professional dance partner Ekaterina Leonova , he took third place.

In June 2014, he served alongside Jana Ina as RTL reporter for item 12 on the occasion of the World Cup and published together with Tony T. the song I Wanna Live in Brazil . In August 2014, Janke took part in the second season of Celebrity Big Brother and finished fourth there. In August 2015 he presented his new single Say in Berlin .

In 2017 and 2018 he participated in the RTL Ninja Warrior Germany celebrity special for the RTL donation marathon and made it into the second round there.

On March 16, 2019, he was a candidate for the ProSieben show Schlag den Star , in which he lost to Lucas Cordalis after 15 games.

In October 2019 he took part in the RTL television program Bachelor in Paradise in the role of a bartender who advised the protagonists.

In 2020 Janke was a candidate in the first edition of the ProSieben show Die! Heart! Blow! Show! .

Janke is also active as a soccer player. He started playing football at VfL 93 Hamburg as early as 1984 . In 1992 he moved to FC St. Pauli and went through all youth teams there. From 1998 he played with the amateurs of FC St. Pauli until he moved to VfL Pinneberg in July 2000 . He played there until 2003. Since then he has worked for various North German upper division clubs. He was active at SC Concordia Hamburg until 2005 , played again for Pinneberg in the 2005/06 season, and then again until 2009 for Concordia Hamburg and until 2011 for SV Arminia Hannover in the major league. In the 2011/12 season he played for Niendorfer TSV and from 2012 to 2015 for VfL 93 Hamburg in the District League North and rose with him to the state league . He has been with SV Uhlenhorst-Adler since the 2015/16 season.
