The TV total German Ice Football Cup was an event initiated by Stefan Raab , which had its origin in the show Schlag den Raab . The cup was played in 2009 and 2015.

At Schlag den Raab there was the game "ice football " on January 17, 2009, in which the opponents played football in bowling shoes on an ice hockey rink . The goals were also ice hockey goals. Raab liked the game so much that after a few tests he developed a new competition.

Edition 2009

The first edition of the German Ice Football Cup (DEFB Cup) took place on May 29, 2009 - one day before the DFB Cup final - in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne.

Prominent representatives and fans of teams in the Bundesliga played against each other. The net playing time per game was five minutes in the group stage and eight in the knockout system. From each group of four, the two best clubs qualified for the semi-finals. The winner was VfB Stuttgart. Stefan Raab was the top scorer with three goals.

Edition 2015

The second edition of the German Ice Football Cup took place on May 2, 2015. It was moderated by Steven Gätjen and Matze Knop interviewed the participants before and after the game.
