Schlag den Beste ( SdB for short ) is a game show at ProSieben that began in summer 2019. Two non-prominent people compete against each other. The show is produced by Raab TV and Brainpool .

Course of the show and rules

The game principle is essentially the same as the sequence of Schlag den Raab and Schlag den Star . Only the number of games is different: a show usually consists of up to 11 games. (12 games in a jump-off)

Two non-prominent people compete against each other in different disciplines such as sport , knowledge , skill , tactics or luck . The show ends as soon as one of the opponents can no longer be defeated by his opponent, i.e. when one of the two has achieved at least 34 out of a possible 66 points. This is possible in the eighth game at the earliest. If the candidates have exactly 33 points after 11 games, there is a so-called "jump-off" game.

In contrast to Schlag den Raab, there are no games outside the studio, and the two to four musical appearances are missing.

The winner of the show receives € 50,000 and competes against a new candidate in the next show so that he can increase his profit by a further € 50,000.

Special occurrences

  • In the game Smelling in the episode broadcast on August 15, 2019, candidate Björn was declared the winner too early. After showing eight points in 7:05 minutes, Robin only scored seven points in the same time. Robin would still have had the opportunity to win with the last substance he could smell, but the direction apparently assumed that the game was over and Björn was the winner. As Robin consequently removed the protective goggles early on and saw the object to be named, a decision round was played. Both got the same substance, Robin buzzed faster, answered correctly and won the game.
