Bachelor in Paradise is a spin-off of the formats The Bachelor and The Bachelorette , which first aired in the United States on August 4, 2014. In October 2017, the German broadcaster RTL Television announced that it would be producing this format as an extraction from Der Bachelor or Die Bachelorette .
procedure
Men and women from previous Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons arrange dates with each other. With the addition of two or three alternating male or female candidates, the single offer on one gender page increases during an episode and is reduced to a "six to six" ratio of male to female singles by awarding roses at the end of the episode. Each candidate in the subgroup awards a rose to a candidate in the surplus group. Those who did not receive a rose leave the show.
First season
The first season, in which 24 singles from both formats took part, including the former Bachelor Paul Janke and Oliver Sanne , was broadcast in German-speaking countries from May 9 to June 13, 2018. The location of the dating show is a "villa location" on the island of Ko Samui in Thailand .

Second season
The second season of the format aired from October 15 to December 17, 2019. This time Paul Janke was there as a bartender in the villa.
