Christian Tews (born July 27, 1980 in Hanover ) is a German banker , sports economist , entrepreneur and television actor . He became known in 2014 through the television show The Bachelor .

Life

Tews was born in Hanover. His mother is Austrian and comes from Graz . At the age of three he and his parents moved to the vicinity of Düsseldorf . In 1987 the family moved again to Frankfurt am Main . There he graduated from high school and trained as a banker . He then studied at the German Sport University Cologne, majoring in " Sport Economics and Sport Management". After graduating, he first traveled around the world and then lived in Munich for about a year .

In 2011 he moved to Berlin . There he initially worked as an "Executive Sales Manager" in an online company. In early 2013 he started his own business . Together with his older brother Daniel Tews, he founded the company Tyme Out , which produces so-called relaxation drinks (drinks that athletes take for regeneration and relaxation after their training sessions). Tews is currently (as of March 2014) working there as managing director for sales and marketing.

Tews gained notoriety through several television appearances. In 2011 he took part as a candidate on the gaming and dating show The Perfect Minute ; there he won 25,000 euros with his playing partner. In the cooking show pot money hunters Tews earned a profit of 10,000 euros.

From January 2014 to March 2014, Tews starred in the fourth season of the television show The Bachelor . In the final on March 13, 2014, he decided in favor of the perfumery saleswoman Katja Kühne from Dresden . In the media, especially the tabloids , his bald head is highlighted. Tews was earmarked for the bachelor's degree in 2013 ; in the casting, however, he lost to Jan Kralitschka .

In May 2015, Tews played the banker Konstantin Werk in an episode of the soap opera Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten .

Tews plays tennis and speedminton . His hobbies include cooking , traveling , cars (especially vintage cars ) and motorcycling . He lives in Berlin and in Rülzheim in the Palatinate .

Private

After completing her bachelor's degree in spring 2014, Tews entered into a relationship with the winner Katja Kühne for a few weeks. Shortly afterwards he began a relationship with the widow and mother of two teenage children, Claudia Lösch. After getting engaged in March 2015, Tews and Lösch got married in the Seychelles in summer 2015 . In early November 2015, the Tews became parents to twin girls.
