Martin Kesici (born April 29, 1973 in Berlin ) is a German rock musician and radio host . He became known as one of the winners of the Star Search casting show in 2003 .

Life

The son of a German and a Turk has been playing guitar and singer in the hard rock group Enrichment since 1994 . He became famous when he won Star Search in the 2003 Sat.1 competition , which led to a two-year record deal with the Universal Records label . Kesici's first chart successes were the pop single Angel of Berlin , which entered the charts at number one, and the accompanying album Em Kay . On later releases he was increasingly involved in songwriting , which was expressed in songs that clearly aimed towards hard rock. In 2005 he performed at the Wacken Open Air , but was booed and abused by the audience, although the initiators of the Wacken preventively declared its appearance there. In addition, Kesici released the single Leaving You for Me that year with ex- Nightwish front woman Tarja Turunen . Kesici recorded the refrain for the single Troy der Fantastischen Vier , but this was not made known by those responsible for the group because Kesici is a casting artist.

Kesici also works as a speaker for radio plays . He can be heard in the heavy metal radio play Teiser . In 2006 another album was released, which among other things contains the song Save Me , which is also the title track of the first-person shooter Übersoldier from cdv Software Entertainment . In 2009 his first book Sex, Drugs & Castingsshows - The Truth about DSDS, Popstars & Co. was published , in which he and Popstars winner Markus Grimm reported on their experiences at casting shows . In 2010 he was also in the docu-soap Tattoo Attack - German celebrities stand for at RTL II to see. In July 2010 Kesici was seen in the reality show Solitary on ProSieben and in November 2010 in the music video Altogether Ooky the Bloodhound Gang . In early December he was in tough on ProSieben in the series celebrities in the temple to see. In 2011 he took part in the action program Fort Boyard on kabel eins .

He hosted the T-Bone's Breakfast Club radio show on Star FM until October 2014 . The radio station Star FM announced on October 28, 2014 that Kesici had been temporarily released from his moderation work. This step was justified with a statement by Kesici, by means of which he had expressed his approval of the demonstration of the group of hooligans against Salafists (HoGeSa) that took place on October 26, 2014 . Kesici himself had previously written on his Facebook account: "Finally the Germans are taking to the streets against the Salafists. About time too. Have a nice evening", but later deleted this statement from his Facebook account and apologized. Nevertheless, Star FM announced on its Facebook page on November 10, 2014 that "an amicable termination of the cooperation is the most sensible solution for both sides".

In mid-February 2011 it was announced that Kesici had composed the song Goodbye for the Armenian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 . Kesici has been the singer of the Berlin rock band The Core since 2011. The first album Inner Self was released in August 2011. In November 2011 Kesici made his acting debut in Stefan Schwenk's feature film Montrak - Master of the Vampires . In it he plays a vicious vampire alongside actors such as Grimme Prize winner Sven Pippig . In January 2012, Kesici participated in the sixth season of I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! ; he was the first to leave camp voluntarily. On March 31, 2012, he participated in the Pro7- Promiboxen part. His boxing opponent was former US5 singer Jay Khan , to whom he lost on points. On September 13, 2013 the 38th episode of the radio play series Gabriel Burns was released, in which Kesici has a guest role as the postman Denis Hoverman. In 2016 and 2017 he took part in the big ProSieben Völkerball Championship . In 2017, Kesici took part in the fourth season of Adam sucht Eva - Celebrities in Paradise . In 2019 he was a candidate for the second season of Get the F * ck out of my House .
