Michael Wurst (born January 7, 1975 in Bochum ) is a German singer and stadium announcer .
Career
Since 1994 Wurst played in the cover band of his father and his uncle "The Tweens". In 2003 he got out. He interrupted his law studies to participate in the Sat.1 format Star Search . Here he reached third place after losing to the eventual winner Martin Kesici in the semifinals , and received a recording contract from Universal Music . In December 2003 he released his first solo single Are You Ready , the official theme song for broadcasts of the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League matches on Sat.1. He also shot the 8-part documentary soap Familie Wurst about his family with Sat.1 . He also played the Hungarian defender Jenő Buzánszky in the film The Miracle of Bern .
He played excerpts from the first solo album on Jeanette Biedermann's break-on-through tour at the beginning of 2004. Michael Wurst appeared in the opening act here . Michael Wurst founded his own band "Kaminski" in 2007. The band has a record deal with Universal and released their first EP with eight songs in 2007.
Michael Wurst has been the stadium announcer for VfL Bochum since 2007 .
In autumn 2015 he took part in the 5th season of The Voice of Germany , but where he failed in the blind auditions with the revolver hero title Spinner .
In October and November 2016 Michael Wurst was seen in the 6-part documentary soap Familie Wurst - Mit Herz und Haaren on WDR television .
