procedure
In each of the nine programs, three former participants of a relay competed against each other in 24-hour city missions. They had to solve various tasks and spend the night in unusual places. Failure to complete a mission had no further consequences. In the studio, the candidates had to answer questions about the relevant season in the jungle quiz. If the answer was wrong, everyone was given a mud shower. The missions and studio exams played no role in progressing to the final, the final participant was determined solely by the audience's telephone voting.
During the shooting, Michael Wendler was not stopped in time by a crane while abseiling from the rope and hit the ground. He suffered a fractured scaphoid bone in his right hand that had to be operated on. Then Michael Wendler was shown on a monitor during episode 8 and the finale and did not take the studio exams; the jungle quiz of his relay colleagues was not carried out.
In the second part of the last episode, the finalists competed against each other in a further studio test in which Australian banknotes had to be fetched from 3 tactile boxes. The result of this test also had no influence on the progress, the winner was again determined by telephone voting by the audience.
Brigitte Nielsen received the most votes in the final and therefore took part again in the original show in Australia in January 2016.
