Barbara Engel (born September 17, 1952 in Hamburg , former name Barbara Herzsprung ) is a German reality TV actress who has also worked as a fashion designer and has published fairy tale books.

Life

Barbara Engel was born in Hamburg in 1952. She is the daughter of the publisher , racing driver and European rally champion Werner Engel , who died in an accident on April 30, 1958 at Circuit Park Zandvoort .

After graduating from high school, Engel completed an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk . In 1976 she opened her first fashion store called “L'Uomo” in Hamburg. Two years later she met the actor Bernd Herzsprung . They married in 1979 in Los Angeles Huntington Beach. The couple had two children together: Hannah (* 1981) and Sarah Lena Herzsprung. Engel published two fairy tale books in 1997. Since 2004 she has been working as a fashion designer again. The labels Louis and Louisa and Von mir! who designs dirndl fashion.

After the divorce from her husband in 2008, Engel moved to Sri Lanka , but had a serious accident there and moved back to Germany. She appeared on the reality show I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! on. Appearances in various television programs such as The Perfect Celebrity Dinner and Die 10… followed .

In 2013 she took part in the TV show Wild Girls - On high heels through Africa and in the show Celebrity Shopping Queen .

In the summer of 2015 she took part in the show I'm a Star - Let me back in! part and fought with 26 other candidates for a place in the jungle camp in 2016.
