The seventh season of the German reality show Promi Big Brother was broadcast on the private broadcaster Sat.1 from August 9 to 23, 2019 .

Janine Pink was the winner of the season in the final voting duel against Joey Heindle with 53.2% of the viewer calls. Tobias "Tobi" Wegener achieved third place.

After the sixth season was the most successful season since 2015 (season 3), few changes in the concept for the seventh season were announced and implemented.

As in the previous seasons, there was a residents distribution in two areas: In addition to the luxurious range luxury camp there was a poor area that takes building site now as camp was called.

Furthermore, the show got a new logo and design for the seventh season. The new primary color was green instead of blue.

For the first time, residents in the poor area were able to go shopping in a small penny market . Everyone who currently lived in the poor area received 1 euro every day. In the beginning they were able to top up the money through duels. Only one person from the department was allowed to go shopping, they only had 60 seconds, had to operate the cash register themselves, pick up the products individually and say which product was taken.

For the first time since the fifth season there was a live audience apart from the big Friday shows; but only after the second live show from August 17th. In addition, on Monday, August 19, 2019, an additional, longer live show was broadcast for the first time from 8:15 p.m.

Attendees

While the first nine participants moved in on August 7, 2019, two days before the first episode was broadcast on August 9, three other participants moved in live during the move-in show.

Almklausi temporarily left the show for health reasons during the eleventh episode on August 19. He returned at noon on August 20 and had been out of touch with the outside world during his absence.

Distribution of residents

The participants were divided into two areas. In the first eight episodes, mostly only the participants from the poor “tent camp” area competed in the so-called “outdoor duel arena”. They earned additional money for shopping in the supermarket. The show's broadcast schedule was the same as the previous season. The three-and-a-half hour move-in show aired on Friday, August 9, 2019. Another major live show was broadcast on Friday, August 16, 2019. The final was broadcast on Friday, August 23, 2019. Jochen Schropp and Marlene Lufen again took on the moderation for the show produced by Endemol Shine Germany in MMC Studios Cologne . On good days by Johannes Oerding , it was used as the season's theme song and as a transition to the commercial breaks.

As in the two previous seasons, there was again no live stream.

The human voice of "Big Brother" was spoken by Phil Daub, and the trailers and recap was provided by Pat Murphy .

Celebrity Big Brother - The latest rumor

As early as July 21, 2019, the web show The youngest rumor (also rumor mill ) was published on Facebook and IGTV, the video portal of Instagram . In the five to seven minute episodes, YouTuber Aaron Troschke and YouTuber Raffaela "Raffa" Zollo commented on and discussed all speculations about who might take part in the show. The “Watch Together Show” web show was broadcast on Fridays from 7:55 pm and on the remaining days from 9:55 pm (except on August 19) on Facebook and YouTube as well as on the promibigbrother.de website . In the show, Aaron Troschke spoke to a studio guest about the participants for the first 20 minutes. With the start of the TV show, both watched the TV episode and responded and commented live on the episode. In addition, audience comments on Facebook and YouTube were integrated into the show. The show was then made available there on demand.

On August 16, 2019 Troschke was temporarily represented by YouTuber Raffaela "Raffa" Zollo, as he was a guest on the main show at the same time.

The first episode on August 9, 2019 achieved the highest value of a season opener in all market share categories (10.9%, 18.2% and 15.4%) since the second season in 2014 (12.2%, 18.2%) 9% and 16.9%).

For the eleventh episode on August 19, 2019, wrong audience ratings were initially reported because Sat.1 of the AGF had sent incorrect broadcast protocols. The corrected values ​​are displayed in the table.
