Jenny Elvers , from 2003 to 2014 Jenny Elvers-Elbertzhagen (born  May 11, 1972 in Lüneburg ), is a German actress , reality show actress , author and presenter .

life and career

Elvers grew up in Amelinghausen , a heath village near Lüneburg , and attended the secondary school Oedeme in Lüneburg , which she graduated with a secondary school leaving certificate. At the age of 18 she was elected heather queen of the heather blossom festival in Amelinghausen.

In 1989 she began training at the drama school Die Etage in Berlin . Then she attended an acting school in Hamburg from 1993 and graduated with a diploma . She then continued her education at the American National Academy of Performing Arts, a private institution in Studio City ( Los Angeles ).

Elvers has been a presenter and actress in Germany since the 1990s. Its image as a "slut" was founded in 1995 by a permissive cameo appearance in the film Männerpension of Detlev Buck founded and with high profile public appearances. Her relationships with Heiner Lauterbach , Thomas D and Alex Jolig , with whom she has a son (* 2001), attracted media attention. From 2003 she was married to her manager Goetz Elbertzhagen , the couple lived in Rheinbach . The couple had been separated since April 2013, and the marriage was divorced in October 2014 . In November 2013, Elvers announced that it would drop the family name Elbertzhagen . She moved to Marbella with her son and significant other in September 2014 .

From 1996 she played a recurring role as a physiotherapist in the television series Nikola with the role name Elke Pflüger . In 2001 she hosted the interactive late night show Big Brother - Das Quiz on RTL 2 for the second season of Big Brother alongside Maike Tatzig . In 2004 she presented KlatschTV on Sat.1 . The broadcast was discontinued after a few months. After a long period of abstinence from television, she worked as a presenter in the home shopping channel RTL Shop from 2005 and also tried herself as a singer .

In 2006 Elvers won critical acclaim for her portrayal of a single mother in Detlev Buck's film Knallhart . Also in 2006, Christoph Schlingensief announced a theater and film project with Jenny Elvers as Lady Diana . On September 14, 2006, Kaprow City premiered at the Volksbühne Berlin . In May 2007 she took part in the RTL show Let's Dance . In October 2007 she played the Buhlschaft again at the Berliner Jedermann Festival . In 2010, Jenny Elvers appeared on stage in the Cologne Theater am Dom as Mrs. Robinson in the play The Graduate Exam , directed by René Heinersdorff .

After an appearance on the previous evening talk show DAS! on September 17, 2012, which made Elvers appear confused, media reports suggested she was an alcoholic . Two days later she went to the Betty Ford Clinic in Bad Brückenau for inpatient treatment for six weeks . In a one-hour special broadcast on RTL on February 4, 2013 under the title Jenny Elvers - The Unvarnished Truth , she publicly discussed her alcoholism.

From September 13, 2013 to September 27, 2013 she was a participant in Celebrity Big Brother from Sat.1 . She was a finalist and won the first season with 71.48% of the vote.

After being featured in the November edition of the German Playboy in 2000 , Elvers had herself photographed again for the February 2016 edition. The occasion was her appearance in the 10th season of the RTL program Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! in which she was chosen as the second participant on the ninth day by the spectators from the camp.

In 2016 she appeared in the music video Allan Align by the musician Drangsal .

In September 2018 Elvers published her autobiography Wackeljahre: My life between glamor and crash .
