Konny Goes Wild! is a survival reality TV series with Konny Reimann and a new candidate per episode, which is broadcast by the TV station RTL II .
concept
The broadcast format is based on the successful US series Dual Survival . Konny Reimann and another candidate are abandoned in the wilderness and have to cover a given route in four days with their own resources. Depending on the environment, they have to procure their own food or find places marked on a map where depots with water and food have been hidden for them. The tension and comedy are created by the very different characters who, with their different talents, agree on common strategies and have to "endure" each other even in stressful situations. The wives are also portrayed in the margin, while the men initially complete a two-day survival training course.

Five episodes have been produced so far. The first episode was filmed in the jungle on the island of Hawaii in early 2017 . Konny's partner was Chris Töpperwien . The second episode with Michael Wendler at Konny's side was in 2018 in the desert near Moab in Utah , the third with Thorsten Legat in November 2018 in South Africa , the fourth with Joey Heindle in June 2018 in the Yukon and the fifth with Mike Süsser also in November Filmed in South Africa in 2018. The production company is Constantin Entertainment , which also produces the series Die Reimanns - An extraordinary life for RTL II.

On social media , viewers initially expressed their confusion about the fact that the wives presented in the programs no longer corresponded to the current status of three of the five candidates. In the period between production and broadcast, Töpperwien, Wendler and Heindle had already separated from their wives and some of them were remarried. Süsser came with his kitchen help because he was already divorced. Media critics devoted their contributions particularly to the second and fourth episodes. Anja Rützel highlighted the situation comedy in the second episode when Wendler tried to inflate the air mattress while he was lying on it. She finds it understandable that Reimann is so irritated by his survival partner on the second day that he exclaims: “I hate my own show!” She describes Wendler's utterance at the end of the day as a “nice joke” in view of his new love affair Broadcast: “At my age I can't find another [woman] either.” The fourth episode of the online magazine Web.de describes the raft trip through rapids on the Yukon River “like a scene from Star Wars - with Jedi students Joey and Konny as Yoda . "
The first episode reached a target audience share of 5.6% and was seen by 1.07 million viewers. The second episode achieved a market share of 5.4% among the advertising-savvy target group 14–49 years and was followed by a total of 1.01 million viewers. In the following episodes, the values were slightly lower.
