Mike Süsser (2014)

Mike Süsser (born January 8, 1971 in Itzehoe ) is a German cook , cookbook author and television chef .

Life

Süsser grew up in Burg-Dithmarschen . In 1986 Süsser began his apprenticeship as a ship mechanic, a seaman at the time, which he never finished. He then completed his culinary training in the hotel-restaurant "Zum Aussichtsturm" in his hometown between 1987 and 1990. After his training he worked in Zermatt and in the USA ( Minneapolis ). He then ran the Burger Kate restaurant in his home country for five years. Then Süsser left Germany and worked in Davos , among other places . This was followed by stations in Munich, Spain ( Fuerteventura ), Portugal ( Madeira ) and on cruise ships. In 2000 Süsser moved to Austria, where he worked as a chef in the restaurant “Zum Buberlgut” in Salzburg . In 2001 he became Corporate Executive Chef for QimiQ GmbH in Salzburg and was responsible for the cruise industry.

In 2004 Süsser founded the “Part of the Crew” cooking school in Scharnstein im Almtal . In 2009 he converted his company to Mi.t Gastro Management GmbH, based in Scharnstein. The company's focus is on consulting , gastro events, moderation and television .

Süsser has two younger brothers. He was married once and from that marriage has a son.

Since June 2009 Süsser was seen together with Frank Oehler , Andreas Schweiger and since September 2010 also with Ole Plogstedt in the TV format “ Die Kochprofis - Einsatz am Herd ” on RTL 2, which he left in early 2014 in episode 242 after around 140 episodes .

In 2014, Süsser presented the program Kitchen Queen on Sixx and from 2014 to 2017 the section “Süsser am Morgen” in the morning magazine on Servus TV.

In 2019, Süsser was a guest on the reality show "Konny goes Wild", where he marched through South Africa on a survival trip with Konny Reimann .
