Jardim Infantil
The Jardim Infantil ( German children's garden , also Jardim Bebora ) is a small city park in the East Timorese capital of Dili . It is located in the southwest of Suco Motael between Rua Dom Boaventura and Avenida Nicolau Lobato in the Bebora district. To the west is the mostly dry Maloa river .
In the center there is a fountain, to the east a monument showing a man and a woman, each carrying a flag. Originally, the painting of the figures showed two members of the Indonesian scouts ( Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia ) holding Indonesian flags . In 2016 the park was redesigned. The memorial has been repainted and the statues now display the national flags of East Timor . A basketball court forms the western part of the park.
North of the park, across Avenida Nicolau Lobato, is the Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste building . South of Rua Dom Boaventura opposite the park are the headquarters of the Timor Post , the television station GMN TV and the East Timorese Ministry of Economics in Mandarim.
