history

In order to secure their souls, members of the upper social classes gave rich goods to the church. In 1022, Emperor Heinrich II gave the monastery in Hildesheim courtyards in Schepelse (Scheplice) and Wathlingen (Waditlagun). Wienhausen received rich estates ; In the Gretinge district alone, it subsequently owned farms in Lachendorf (Lachtendorpe), Jarnsen (Gerendessen), Helmerkamp (Helmerkampe), Hohne (Hone), Höfer (Hovere), Metzingen (Metzinge), Hohnhorst (Honhorst), Garßen (Gershnede) , Scharnhorst (Schernhorst), Gockenholz (Ghokenholte) and Ahnsbeck (Adensbeke). But it did not stop at the donation of goods; but the emperors also transferred the power of government to the bishops.

In the oldest tithe, money and fruit register of the Wienhausen monastery , written towards the end of the 13th century and with an addendum, "Bona salinaria de 1369", the villages of Lachendorf and Jarnsen are counted under 1) as "pagus Grete" , Helmerkamp, Hohne, Höfer, Metzingen, Hohnhorst, Scharnhorst, Gockenholz and Ahnsbeck; they are all located in the area of the former district bailiwick of Beedenbostel, in the parishes of Beedenbostel, Eschede, Eldingen and Hohne.

Jarnsen used to belong to the parish villages of Beedenbostel and Eldingen as well as the villages of Ahnsbeck, Alvern, Bargfeld, Bunkenburg, Gockenholz, Helmerkamp, Hohnhorst, Höfer, Lachendorf, Luttern, Mehlhof, Metzingen, Ohe and Wohlenrode to the local governorate of Beedenbostel (in the district of the same name).

An undated register of the Beedenbostel District Bailiwick “of the leather fire buckets that are available in every village and still to be purchased, including the costs to be used for such purposes” provides information on 33 localities. They are listed one below the other in alphabetical order. In Jarnsen there were four fire buckets for seven fireplaces, so three more had to be purchased. The acquisition should take place in 1783. Lachendorf (25 fire places), listed in twelfth position, had noticeably few fire buckets, namely six.

Heinrich Wilhelm Ludwig Schulze, born in Celle on May 21, 1822, attended the secondary institute of the school teachers' seminar for nine months and in 1842 got his first job as a teacher in Jarnsen, Parochie Beedenbostel.

In May 1896, as reported in the Celleschen Zeitung , the residents of Jarnsen had to fight the fire of a 1 acre heather and Bülten area belonging to the farm owner T. on the Jarnsen-Hohnhorst road and confine it to the property in question.

An official announcement of August 25, 1906 referred to a new police ordinance. Here of interest: Jarnsen had to expect fire-fighting assistance from the communities of Ahnsbeck, Beedenbostel, Hohnhorst, Lachendorf and Luttern, each of which had a syringe, from Bunkenburg and Gockenholz as communities without syringes, von Eldingen as a community with and von Höfer as a community without syringes only upon request.

Jarnsen (1927 district, district court and tax office Celle, Post Beedenbostel) had a total of 83 inhabitants in 1925, 87 in 1933 and 80 in 1939.

In 1935 Beedenbostel, Gockenholz, Höfer and Jarnsen formed the Beedenbostel fire fighting association. Gockenholz was the only political municipality in the association without a volunteer fire brigade .

On January 1, 1973, Jarnsen was incorporated into the municipality of Lachendorf.

Club life

The Jarnsen-Luttern-Bunkenburg volunteer fire brigade provides fire protection and general assistance, particularly in the area of the Jarnsen, Luttern and Bunkenburg districts. Local fire chief is Alexander Ehms.

On March 19, 1974, in the Heidehof Hasselmann in Ahnsbeck, under the direction of Klaus-Dieter Hanke and in the presence of the district manager of the rural people, Hans-Wilhelm Schütze, the founding meeting of the rural youth Lachtal and the surrounding area took place, to which over 50 young people mostly attended Ahnsbeck, Bunkenburg, Hohnhorst and Helmerkamp came together. But also representatives of other rural youth groups, e.g. B. Steinhorst, Bergen, Groß Hehlen and Flotwedel were guests. The catchment area included the communities Ahnsbeck, Bargfeld, Beedenbostel, Bunkenburg, Eldingen, Gockenholz, Grebshorn, Heese, Hohne, Hohnhorst, Helmerkamp, Jarnsen, Lachendorf, Luttern, Metzingen and Wohlenrode.
