Jarosław Bako (born August 12, 1964 in Olsztyn ) is a former Polish football goalkeeper .
He started his career at ŁKS Łódź in the Polish Ekstraklasa . After his beginnings at ŁKS Łódź Jarosław Bako played for several other Polish clubs ( Legia Warszawa , Zagłębie Lubin , Lech Poznań , Stomil Olsztyn ) before he finally moved to the first Turkish league to Beşiktaş Istanbul in 1991 .
After two successful seasons in Turkey , he moved back to Poland to Lech Poznań , before moving to Israel to Hapoel Tel Aviv in 1993 . Here he played three seasons and ended his stay in Israel with one season at Hapoel Jerusalem . He then returned to Poland and played three more seasons in the highest Polish division of the Ekstraklasa for Stomil Olsztyn (now OKS 1945 Olsztyn ). Jarosław Bako let his career fade away from 1999 at lower class clubs such as Jeziorak Iława , GKS Stawiguda , Tęcza Biskupiec and the second team from Polonia Warszawa .
From 1989 to 1993 Jarosław Bako played a total of 38 times for the Polish national football team . Despite these 38 appearances, he was never able to join the list of great Polish goalkeepers (such as Jan Tomaszewski , Józef Młynarczyk , Jerzy Dudek or Artur Boruc ).
Jarosław Bako is currently working as a goalkeeping coach for the Polish first division club Polonia Warszawa .
