Jaroslav Špelda (born February 26, 1975 in Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player who was last under contract with HC Valpellice in the Italian A1 series .

Career

Jaroslav Špelda began his career as an ice hockey player at HC Pardubice , for whose professional team he was active from 1992 to 1995, first in the top Czechoslovak league and then in the Czech extra league. Then the defender spent three years in the second-rate first division at HC Liberec and HC Berounští Medvědi , before he was on the ice from 1998 to 2001 for HC Plzeň in the extra league . After the left shooter had been under contract with HC Becherovka Karlovy Vary in the 2001/02 season , he moved to the second division HC Kladno , with whom he immediately achieved promotion to the extra league in 2003.

After a total of four years, Špelda left HC Kladno towards the end of the 2005/06 season and joined HC Košice from the Slovakian extra league . With the top team, he lost to HC Slovan Bratislava in the playoff final in 2008 , before becoming Slovak champion for the first time in the 2008/09 season . For the 2009/10 season he moved to HK Nitra from the Slovak Extra League . In December 2010 he was signed by HC Eppan Pirates from the Italian A2 series . For the 2011/12 season he joined Manchester Phoenix from the English Premier Ice Hockey League . He started the 2012/13 season at HK SKP Poprad before moving to Italy at the end of January 2013. There he signed with HC Valpellice from Serie A1 and ended his career at the end of the season.
