Jason Grimes
Jason Grimes (born September 10, 1959 ) is a retired American long jumper .
The greatest achievement of the University of Tennessee graduate is winning the silver medal at the 1983 World Athletics Championships in Helsinki. The following year he was pushed to fourth place in the US eliminations for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in the last round by Mike McRae and was therefore only a substitute for the US team.
After his athletic career, he initially worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other law enforcement agencies. He has been an athletics coach at the University of Maryland since 2004 .
