Jason Felice Spagnuolo (born August 2, 1984 in Adelaide ) is a former Australian football player .
Career
Spagnuolo played from 2004 to 2006 for MetroStars SC in the South Australian Premier League . In early 2006, he received his first short-term contract with Adelaide United, and on this occasion he made his professional debut in the A-League . For the 2006/07 season he signed a permanent contract with Adelaide and established himself in the team. He reached the 2007 championship final with the team, but lost to Melbourne Victory 0: 6 and was only substituted when the score was 0: 4. Spagnuolo was internally club after this season as the best player of the season as Club Champion award.
Because of reaching the championship final, Adelaide started in the AFC Champions League in 2008 and was the first Australian club to reach the final. There you lost against the Japanese club Gamba Osaka with 0: 5 in addition. A few months later Spagnuolo took part with Adelaide at the Club World Cup in 2008 and was involved in the opening game against Waitakere United .
As early as November 2008 it was announced that Spagnuolo had his contract, which originally ran until 2010, terminated at the end of the 2008/09 season because he was no longer satisfied with his playing times. At the end of December 2008 he signed a contract with the newly formed A-League team North Queensland Fury for the next two seasons . With North Queensland he missed the play-offs in each of the following two seasons, in 2011 the club's license was withdrawn after ongoing financial problems. Spagnuolo then played again for Adelaide City and reached the 2011 championship final with the team, in which they lost to the Adelaide Blue Eagles on penalties. Subsequently, Spagnuolo decided to end his football career in order to concentrate more on his profession as a real estate agent .
